The City of Sloan is in the process of amending the sewer rate ordinance. We needed to do this as we have a lot of sewer lines that need to be lined/repaired, repair to manholes and we are also paying for a new wastewater facility. This rate increase (for $10.00 per bill) is necessary to ensure the utility systems can meet their obligations. The first reading was passed but there will be two more readings of the proposed amendment...on May 19 & June 16 at the regular Council meetings. You are welcome to attend these meetings to voice your opinions. Meetings are at 7:00pm.

Mosquito fogging is scheduled to begin on May 16th....possibly sooner if we start having problems earlier. Fogging will be on Mondays at dusk or after.
